Lillian Merrittさんより(H23.3.15.) かつてSalinasのHartnell大学で本会プログラムのコーディネーターをして下さっていたLillian Merrittさんからメッセージを頂きました。 Good evening,
As we watch the news here in the U.S. I am constantly approached and have
been receiving email/calls of how we can help. We want you to know that
if there is any reason you or other families you know need to evacuate,
we are all opening our homes. We want to help in any way possible. Please
keep in contact with us. We want to encourage you all and know that you
not only have your strength to get through this, but we want to help you
carry that burden. Keep safe.
From all your friends in Salinas (and even some from around the U.S. that
you don't know),

Mr. Vearl Gishより(H23.3.14.) Hartnell Collegeで野菜グループの研修生を教えて頂いていたMr. Vearl Gishから米国支部長(TJ)宛でメッセージを頂きました。 Subject:JATP trainees TJ, I have not contacted you for a long time, but the disaster in Japan has both Sharon and I terribly concerned about the safety of the trainees we have such fond memories of. I have a map of Japan that I recorded the location of all the veg crop trainees. I am heartsick to see that at least ten live very close to the waters of Sendai Bay where the tsunami struck and many more close to the epicenter. We have also seen many pictures of damage in places like Tokyo and Chiba. We pray for the safety of them all and would like to help, but it seems the only thing we can do is send money to the relief effort. Lillian sent me a copy of the e-mail you sent to her. I don't want to take up your time, but if you send more news would you include me on your e-mail list. Thank you very much. As always Vearl. | Mrs. Susan Blackwellより(H23.3.13.) BBCCで研修生に英語を教えて頂いているMrs. Susan Blackwell からのお見舞い状を頂きました。
I wish to tell you how sorry I am about the enormous losses in Japan due
to the earthquake and tsunami. Kim told me you were transmitting information
to the trainees in the U.S. about their families. Thanks to Facebook, I've
been able to verify that most (maybe all) of the trainees I taught who
live in the disaster zone are safe. Kim and Yuki are here now. Yuki told
me about Osamu's family. I'm so sorry for their hardship but glad they
are alive.
If there is anything we here can do, just let us know.
Best regards,
Susan |
